Abstract Submission

All abstracts and manuscripts must be submitted through the ROSA (Responsive Online System for Acta Horticulturae submission and review) System. You can submit your abstracts and manuscripts by clicking the link below.

Guidelines

All abstracts and manuscripts must be submitted through ROSA (Responsive Online System for Acta Horticulturae submission and review) in the link: https://www.actahort.org/members/symposiar?nr=889. For ISHS member presenting authors, payment of the ISRTB Registration Fee allows them to submit up to two abstracts at the symposium without additional fees as part of their membership benefits. Please visit the ISHS website (https://ishs.org/members/), update or renew your membership before submitting abstracts.

For non-ISHS member presenting authors, in addition to the ISRTB Registration Fee, a USD $120 fee will be charged for submitting up to two abstracts. This fee is equivalent to the difference in registration fees between ISHS members and non-members. If you are not an ISHS member, first visit the website https://www.actahort.org/members/newmember?asc=1, create an account, and pay to activate your user account. After payment and activation of your user account, you can begin submitting abstracts, and you are entitled to register to the symposium at the discounted fee for ISHS members.

During submission, authors may indicate their preferred presentation type (oral or poster). The Scientific Committee will define the final presentation format based on evaluation results and session organization. Abstracts must always be submitted by the presenting author, using their own personal ISHS user account. Each author may submit up to two abstracts per registration (user account). Submitting an abstract on behalf of, or using the ISHS user account of another author, is strictly prohibited.

Abstracts will be accepted for consideration by the Scientific Committee from June 1, 2026 to December 15, 2026 (deadline for abstract submission). Modifications in the abstracts may be made until February 10, 2027. The final announcement, including the type of presentation (oral or poster), will be communicated to all authors after the abstracts have been corrected.

All speakers and oral presenters must submit the fulltext of manuscripts for publication in the symposium proceedings in accordance with the Acta Horticulturae guidelines (https://ishs.org/authors/) by April 13, 2027 (deadline for fulltext paper submission). Submission of the fulltext manuscript in the ROSA system is mandatory for all speakers and oral presenters who had their abstract approved. Submission of fulltext manuscripts to Acta Horticulturae is optional, although encouraged, for poster presenters with approved abstracts.

Submitted fulltext manuscripts will follow the editorial and review procedures adopted by Acta Horticulturae symposium volumes. Speakers and Oral presenters who do not submit the fulltext of manuscript for publication in Acta Horticulturae may have their Oral presentation rejected. The symposium proceedings will be published as a volume in the Acta Horticulturae series.

The steps in the evaluation process will be: abstract submission & acceptance, correction, or rejection. For accepted abstracts, the fulltext of manuscripts submission stage will begin in the ROSA system, which will be reviewed and returned to the author (in case of corrections) and will follow the procedure for publication in the Acta Horticulturae symposium proceedings.

Important Notes: Failure to register in the symposium will result in the withdrawal of your abstract from the program. The publication in the Acta Horticulturae proceedings is contingent upon your presentation (oral or poster) at the symposium. Authors must submit their abstracts and manuscripts on time to secure their presentation and publication in the proceedings. We strongly recommend submitting all materials well before the deadlines to avoid the risk of missing them.
