How to arrive in Brazil?

The easiest way to arrive in Brazil is through one of the the three major International Airports:

  • Guarulhos International Airport (GRU/SBGR)

[Sao Paulo city, state of Sao Paulo (SP)]

  • Rio de Janeiro International Airport (GIG/SBGL)

[Rio de Janeiro city, state of Rio de Janeiro (RJ)]

  • Confins International Airport (CNF/SBCF)

The closest airport to Lavras-MG is Confins International Airport, located in the city of Belo Horizonte. After landing, you will need to use one of several available options, such as taxi, specialized transfer, ride-hailing app, or bus, the most common option. How to arrive in Lavras?

Upon arrival at a Brazilian International Airport look for a bus or taxi to take you to the designated City Bus Station in order to get a bus to Lavras (remember, Lavras is located in the state of  Minas Gerais).

The route is served by several bus companies that operate daily to ensure you have a safe and comfortable journey, including: Gardênia, Util, Viação Sertaneja, Sampaio, São Cristóvão, and Gontijo. Upon arriving in the city of Lavras/MG, you will disembark in the Ouro Preto neighborhood, where the Dr. Mauricio Ornellas de Souza Bus Terminal is located. Being 2 km from the city center, there are several nearby restaurants, markets, grocery stores, and pharmacies. Furthermore, despite its simple structure, the bus station has parking, a snack bar, a newsstand, and ATMs. There you can also enjoy a great view of the city, as the terminal is located in an elevated part of town.
